The view from my terrace. To think that people dine like this every day! The textures and colors of Italy resonate with our designs. I am always at home here—and so are our bowls. Pomegranates mean blessings and I felt doubly blessed to be staying on this terrace in the middle of Palermo, thanks to our divine hosts, Salvatore and Joc.

Our sea and sky colors are right at home! Fresh and delicious are the key ingredients to everything here. We use lemons all day long wherever we are: lemon water in the morning; lemon juice in our salad dressings. This seaside setting is at Villa Igea where I spent my time staring at the azure waters and basking in the dappled light and fresh breezes.
Everything is slower here and I got used to it. Italy is an experience in fresh, healthy green goodness with a side of prosciutto and melon, please! Bellissima!
BREAKFAST IN ITALY
There is nothing more glorious than this breakfast prepared by our Sicilian host. A salad of oranges, apricots and cherries from a nearby grove mixed with pistachios, fresh ricotta and a drizzle of fresh organic honey. Our hosts were in love with the warmth our bowls invite. Every day, every meal (and every space in between) was awash in the celebration of living at its purest.
